Sara’s food is delicious!
We picked Squisito as our wedding caterer as we wanted a relaxed style of tasty and filling food for our wedding breakfast and Sara delivered this! We knew from our tasting that Sara’s food was right for us. She served us up a huge amount of delicious food that it was so hard to choose what options to have.
The Italian sharing style was perfect for our day. We wanted to offer large antipasti selections for our guests as a starter. Sara took on board our ideas and specific requests – we wanted a fish crostini as a canapé for example so she made an absolutely delicious mackerel pate (this was the only canapé I managed to eat on the day but our guests commented on how tasty and plentiful the canapés were). Sara tailored the antipasti platter on our request to include a delicious seafood salad and an amazing cold tomato soup shot. By choosing Squisito you also get to benefit from the choices of amazing meats and cheeses from the deli – we had a selection of meats on the antipasti platters and offered cheese plates as a dessert option (the cheese plates went down very well – all of the cheeses are AMAZING!). We chose the porchetta, hake and peppers as our mains which were all equally tasty. Everyone commented on how much delicious food there was – the sharing portions of pork in particular were huge and the meat was so tender!
We also took advantage of the fact that Sara makes amazing gelatos and sorbets in some interesting flavours – we chose the margarita sorbet, vanilla and salted caramel dulce de leche and raspberry ripple gelatos to serve in the evening. Sara also kindly incorporated our wedding logo onto the labels of the individual tubs which were just perfect.
Thank you so much to Sara and the Squisito team for all of their hard work and effort to make our wedding food so special! Many thanks again! Natasha and Jack, London
We had the most amazing experience at the deli. Your husband, Alex, was fantastic - such great stories and information about all the food we were trying. When we left I said to Josh 'yes we definitely chose the right people'. We had the best time and couldn't leave without taking a platter of cheese up to Josh's parents who were similarly impressed. I shared an instagram post about it with a few photos, Jai and Josh, Furtho Manor Farm, Buckinghamshire
“Sara, it was absolutely amazing. Thank you so much. It was everything we hoped for and more (being able to have pasta on our menu!!)", Jemma and Mike, Islington Assembly Rooms, London
“Thank you for an absolutely superb wedding! From beginning to end, it was spot on. It was a pleasure to work with you in planning the menu and organising the meal, we loved our taste testing session and dinner with you and the food on the day was incredible.
Not only did guests tell us it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding, a number thought it was one of the best meals they’d ever had! Even our friends from London were blown away. It was a huge amount of work and exceptional value for money, especially given the sourcing of ingredients and how much of it was homemade. You stepped in when our fancy London restaurant let us down and you more than gave Bocca di Lupo a run for their money. ", Laura and Tom, Arundel, West Sussex
“Thank you again for helping make our special day something to really remember. Just a small note to say a huge THANK YOU for everything you've done for Seb and I and your help with the wedding! We do not stop hearing from our guests how incredible the food was. The phrase ‘best food we’ve ever had at a wedding’ gets said a lot! It was also just a joy to meet you and your lovely team who all helped to make our day extra special. It wouldn't have been the same without you. I hope we can keep in touch.” Stephanie and Seb, Rye, East Sussex
“Thank you so much for making our wedding extra tasty! Everyone loved the food and we got loads of amazing feedback. And thank you for being extra patient with us and having such a great attention to detail. We would highly recommend you!” Jo and Harvey, Bridgnorth, Shropshire
“We couldn't have been happier with the food, the presentation including our unique Squisito designed menu/placemats and the delicious Limoncello and Nocino. You understood what we wanted to achieve because you share the same completely authentic and exquisite feast of the senses. Thank you for all you did. You really went the extra mile for us and we appreciate it so much”. Flora and Mark, Braxted Park Estate, Essex
"Sara and the Squisito team did an outstanding job of the catering at our wedding, it was an Italian themed wedding and the service, attention to detail and quality of the food was second to none. So many of the guests complimented the food, especially the sausage canapés, and with the meats and cheeses coming from there own deli it gave a very local feel and quality to the service. Sara couldn't have done more in ensuring everything went to plan and we couldn't thank her enough for all her and her teams effort on the day.
Again thank you for everything made the day even more special", Charlie and Victoria, Lincoln

Italian Weddings
In England most people look for "wedding caterers" to organise their wedding and 'supply' the food. This not how it happens in Italy or with us!
Our wedding day (that's us in the pic!) was far too important to entrust to 'caterers' and we wanted an Italian wedding. So we made our own food, chose our favourite wine and beers, organised our own entertainment, invitations, venue and even our own wedding website. Most importantly, we created our own menu and cooked and served our own homemade food.
'Catering' in the Italian sense is a community actvity using
family recipes with each person contributing their skill and
family experience. Food and conviviality is at the heart of an Italian wedding.
Consequently, Squisito is a wedding caterer with a
difference. Unlike conveyor belt caterers, Squisito have no set menu for brides to choose from since we ask you what you want and make a menu and food to suit you and your guests and your location. As a genuine food producer Squisito cater for all dietary requirements and budgets.
True to our Italian ethos Squisito make all of our food using fresh local ingredients highlighted with artisan Italian specialities like fresh burrata from Campania in season or Sara's handmade Italian delicacies like
Porchetta which is Tuscan style shoulder of pork with our own smoked fennel. With our own butchery you can be sure that our meat is sourced locally and tastes good.
Another difference is that you will always receive Sara's personal service because Squisito only accept a few wedding commissions per month with our regular and experienced team.
Sara is happy to pass on her experience of over 150 weddings and use her management skills to ensure problems are avoided so that you and your guests can relax and enjoy good food on your special day.
A typical wedding menu requires just as much planning as any other part of the day. To begin with Sara discusses your menu ideas and goes over the venue, location and date with you. We then supply a personalised menu
and costs based on your feedback. At this point we invite you to lunch or dinner to test the menu and discuss your plans. Once booked in you can refine your personalised menu until you are completely satisfied.
Often Squisito will advise suitable wine pairings and go over all your other requirements from glasses and crockery to cooking equipment and lighting at your venue. Once we have established a working menu we will visit your venue and check out the practicalities so there are no hitches on the day whether your venue is in a Town Hall or a teepee in a field. We will then finalise your booking so we can plan waiting staff, book equipment, crockery and order, make ingredients.
Squisito don't have an upper or lower limit for guest numbers or budget since all of our weddings are bespoke.
With a wide and varied experience of different locations from stately homes to warehouses, village halls to your family back garden, with Squisito you can be confident we will cope with the weather and realise your dream. Most importantly, Squisito cook for you on the day - our brides' and guests reviews below speak for themselves!
